Work on the Wheatbelt Science Trail is progressing well.
In total 118 site nominations were received from the community and our Science in the Wheatbelt Workshop. Almost all of the Wheatbelt’s 42 Local Government Areas had a nomination and it was great to hear your stories about why you nominated a particular site.
We are now in the information development stage of the project, crafting interesting descriptions for sites. We’re seeking STEM professionals to read and confirm information on sites in their field of expertise. It doesn’t take long (about 400 words) but will make a big impact. All site reviewers will be acknowledged in the finished trail.
Specifically we are now looking for people with expertise in geology, chemical science and mathematics. Please email or phone us by 27 May 2017 if you would like to help us inspire the discovery and excitement of science.
