Wheatbelt Science Trail Geo Trail

The Wheatbelt Science Trail also features a Geotrail – a series of geocaches at selected sites. These will be released on the weekends in August and September 2017.

Have you ever tried geocaching? It’s an online treasure hunt played by millions of people around the world. Add to the adventure and get hunting!

The geocaches range from easy to challenging, with some tricky surprises! Most of the easy caches were put together by Wheatbelt community members at our community geocaching workshop in July 2017. We periodically release new collectables on the geotrail to keep things interesting.

Get started

You will need to create an account with Geocaching.com to get started on your adventure (you can create a free or paid account) and follow the instructions to start caching.

Geocaching is also promoted by Nature Play WA as a great ‘green time’ (as opposed to ‘screen time’) activity. See their website here.
